H2O Racing has announced its latest environmental initiative to build a series of Wells to provide clean water to communities living in remote regions.
The fundraising campaign was launched by H2O Racing president Nicolo di San Germano and has resulted in the first of its Wells being built in Fer El Village in the Municipality of Gorom in landlocked Burkina Faso in West Africa.
This latest initiative highlights H2O Racing’s strong stance and conviction toward its Corporate Social Responsibility and follows its signing of the Water Manifesto in 1998 and, more recently, entering into partnership with Treedom to plant trees in Africa to offset its CO2 emissions at events it promotes and stages in order to achieve Carbon Neutral status. “We are indebted in any way we can to help and support the belief that the right to water is an inalienable individual and collective right,” said Nicolo di San Germano. “Our championships have relied on water since 1981. We fully respect and embrace it and this campaign is fundamentally about helping those who do not have access to a clean water supply.”
